Privacy Policy
The short version
We collect the minimum needed to answer you and to run our Discord bot. We do not sell your data, we do not advertise to you, and we do not build profiles on you. If you want your data deleted, email hello@neverabsolute.com and we will delete it.
Two things worth knowing up front, because most policies bury them. Messages you send to our website assistant or our Discord bot are processed by a third party AI provider outside your country, and your conversation is stored so a person on our team can read it and reply. Details are below.
1. Who we are
Never Absolute is an AI automation and consulting practice. We operate the website at neverabsolute.com and a Discord bot. In this policy “we” and “us” mean Never Absolute, and “you” means anyone using either of those.
For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data, contact hello@neverabsolute.com.
2. What we collect
When you use the website
- Messages you send our assistant. The text of your questions and our replies.
- Details you choose to give us. Name, email, phone number and anything you write into the call back or enquiry form, or type into the chat.
- Technical information. Your IP address, browser user agent, the page you were on, and the site that referred you.
- One cookie. A cookie named
na_vcontaining a random identifier, so the assistant can continue your conversation if you come back. It holds no personal information and cannot be read by scripts on the page.
When you use our Discord bot
- Your Discord identifiers. Your Discord user ID and username, and the server and channel ID where a command was used.
- What you send the bot. The content of commands and messages you direct to it, and its replies.
- Timestamps of those interactions.
The bot does not read messages that are not directed at it, and we do not bulk collect server history.
What we never collect
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, passwords, government identifiers, or any special category data such as health or biometric information. Please do not send these to the assistant or the bot.
3. Why we collect it
- To answer your question and, where you asked us to, follow up.
- To make the Discord bot work at all.
- To improve what we build, by seeing which questions we could not answer well.
- To prevent abuse. We count requests per IP address so that one person cannot run up our costs or deny the service to others.
Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, our lawful bases are your consent when you volunteer contact details, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, running the service, and protecting it from abuse.
4. Who else processes your data
We keep this list short on purpose, and we name everyone rather than referring vaguely to “service providers”.
| Who | What they do with it |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts the site and stores conversations and enquiries. United States and global edge network. |
| DeepSeek | Generates the assistant and bot replies. Your message text is sent to them to produce an answer. DeepSeek is based in China, so this involves a transfer outside the UK, EU and Singapore. |
| Supabase | Stores enquiries and their conversation history so we can follow up properly. |
| Telegram | Alerts us that an enquiry or conversation has come in. Message content may appear in that alert. |
| Discord | Operates the platform the bot runs on, under their own privacy policy. |
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train our own models.
5. How long we keep it
- The website cookie: 30 days, then it expires. You can clear it at any time using the “Start a new chat” control in the chat window, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
- Conversations where you did not identify yourself: kept while we review what people ask, and deleted when no longer useful.
- Enquiries and the conversations attached to them: kept while we are in contact and for as long as we have a business reason to, then deleted on request.
- Abuse prevention counters: expire automatically within a day.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, or to withdraw consent. In Singapore this is covered by the PDPA, and in the UK and EU by the GDPR.
You do not need to prove where you live to exercise these. Email hello@neverabsolute.com and we will act on it. For a Discord request, include your Discord username so we can find the right records.
7. Children
Our website and bot are not intended for children. Discord requires users to be at least 13, and older in some countries. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to stored conversations and enquiries is limited to the two people who run Never Absolute. We keep the amount of data we hold small, which is the most reliable security measure available to a team of our size.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, for example a new company processing your data, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing the page.
10. Contact
Questions, complaints, or a request to delete your data: hello@neverabsolute.com.
